HR Giger's Necronom III: Questions about the head from The Fly

My original thought about this painting in the early 1990s was that it might be something similar to the head of the monster from the movie "The Fly" from 1958 and its sequel "The Return of the Fly". It might be too obvious a speculation that goes perhaps nowhere further , but afterwards one might go to his painting Necronom IX painted later that year and wonder if someone inspired by photos of movie monsters could not help being inspired by it. (See also: Necronom IX ) And with this interest in such a head could be the head of an actual common house fly
